Domaine de L’R Domaine de L’R, Frédéric Sigonneau, Chinon, Loire He made the first vintages of Atauta in Ribera del Duero before returning to Cravant-lès-Coteaux to take up the reins at his father’s domaine and turn it into a haven for biodynamic wine enthusiasts from all over. His love of art shows on the labels, as does his sense of humour, but the real talent is in the bottle for sure. Cabernet Franc 100% Colour: clear purple, medium intensity and tears Nose: slightly funky nose, medium intensity, clean with red fruit and slight earthiness Mouth: medium acid and smooth medium tannin, savoury with slight red fruit. Medium minus body. Meaty finish.  cool producer and very cool wine to have at least one in your life.

PROMIS As in the native Piedmont, Angelo Gaja's goal is to produce wines that are true to their origins, reflecting the distinctive qualities of their   unique terroir. Tuscany's south of Livorno, is one of Italy's most dynamic wine regions. Cà Marcanda, the Gaja family's newest wine estate, is located in the famed Bolgheri district in the commune of Castagneto Carducci. Bolgheri's hot summer days,  by brisk sea air and cool nights, create an ideal climate for Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Syrah vines. The estate is characterized by two distinct soil types -   terre brune   (dark soil), predominately loam and clay, and   terre chiare   (white soil), which is richer in limestone and filled with stones and pebbles. Recently I had this outstanding delicious red wine PROMIS   Fruit and spice in the nose, fruit and leather in the taste and smooth on the back end. Earhy in the nose and smoth through the mouth with really silk tannins still alive and

Based in the     hamlet of La Combe, Jean-François is making some incredible Jura wines from recently-certified (Demeter) biodynamic vineyards. In 1998 he returned to the family domaine after a period spent working in Burgundy, with Jean-Marc Morey. These wines are naturally made, with the reds receiving no sulfur dioxide additions, and the whites only a tiny amount. These are true terroir wines, and they are thrilling – especially the remarkable Savagnin. Cotes De Jura Poulsard 2010 Orange/red color very bright seem at first glance a rose wine. Warm, spicy nose with some roasted notes. The palate is fresh and pure with some cherry fruit backed up by complex minerally notes and high acidity. An elegant wine. I cooked with this fabulous biodinamic wine a orecchiette with a flathead tail and poached prawn with cherry tomato with grated oyster mushroom on top all confit.

The name Ploussard is used mainly around the town of  Pupillin  but can appear on  wine labels  throughout Jura as an authorized  synonyms . While technically a dark-skinned  noir grape , the skins of Poulsard are very thin with low amounts of color - phenols  and produces very  pale colored  red wines, even with extended  maceration  and can be used to produce  white wines . Because of this, Poulsard is often blended with other red-skin varieties or used to produce lightly colored  rosé  wines. Additionally the grape is used to make  blanc de noir  white wines and  sparkling   cremants . [ 1 ] [ 2 ] Poulsard is an authorized grape variety in the  Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée  (AOC) wines of  Arbois AOC ,  Côtes du Jura AOC ,  Crémant du Jura AOC ,  L'Etoile AOC  and  Macvin du Jura AOC . Outside of Jura, Poulsard is also grown in  Bugey AOC  of the  Ain   département  in eas
