Tricot Désirè Chardonnay

Auvergne from the village of Orcet. Marie & Vincent Tricot farm six hectares of vines, organically from the beginning. The vineyard of Desire Chardonnay was planted in 1973 on basalt-rich soils from a now long-passed volcanic period. Aged in old barrel, the wine is quite lush and full-bodied think a ripe Mâcon wine. Made entirely without SO2, very varietal with slight match stick minerality, very pure and prestine a wine can make happy all the boring lovers of Burgundy. Creamy ripeness fruit, a crackling line of acidity that structures the finish at the end of the palate.
Vincent and Marie had worked in Beaujolais in the 1990s and were influenced by the work of Jules Chauvet, Marcel Lapierre, they moved to the Auvergne in 2002; they moved to the Auvergne in 2002.
